How to use the app

Five icons: Home (the feed) · Activities (the week and the list) · Chats · Members · Menu. A red number on Chats is unread messages. It is the same on iPhone, Android and in a phone's browser.

The same on every tab. Search (the magnifying glass) looks through members, places, sports and activities. + opens Create: I'm going out first, then Plan an activity, Post to the feed and Ask a poll. The bell 🔔 is your notifications, with a red number when something is new.

The last icon of the phone bar is your own page and everything that has no icon of its own: your profile and figures, Create, then one card per topic — Sports, Places (with your Home place), Activities, Play (Challenges, Play, Leaderboard), Community (Projects, Members, Notifications) and Account. Play and Places live here on a phone; Home also has a row of shortcuts to them right under the box to post. Details under Menu — your dashboard.

Left: the logo (Home) and the search field. One at a time; click outside it or press Esc to close. Menu: every card of your Menu with a Search menu field ("sports", "challenge", "privacy"…) and a Create card on the right. Chats: your latest chats with a search field and All · Unread · Groups · Direct (plus Favourites once you have one); a row opens the chat, the pencil starts a message to someone you pick, See all chats opens the full Chats page — that is where you mute, hide or favour a chat. Notifications: All · Unread, split into New and Earlier, with See all; closing the panel marks what it showed as read, and See all keeps everything new until you leave the full list. Your picture: your page, Edit profile, Settings & privacy, Help & guide and Sign out. A click on an empty part of the top bar closes a panel too.

How you sign in, your e-mail, privacy, installing the app and deleting your account are on your own page: your picture → Settings & privacy, or Menu → Account → Settings & privacy (typing "privacy", "install" or "delete" into Search menu finds it).

An activity, a chat, a form: on a phone it slides in with a back arrow; on a computer it opens under the top bar with its own small bar — back arrow, title, and the page's buttons (Save, Cancel, Add…). The tab it belongs to stays marked.

One field for the whole community: Members (name, bio, where they are based), Places (name or address), Sports (also by their other names — a sport's admins can add the names people actually use, in any language) and Activities that are on or still to come (title, sport or place) — and, where your community has them, listings of the market and models of a catalogue. Type two letters or more. On a phone tap the magnifying glass on top of any tab; on a computer the field in the top bar shows the results right under it — ↑ ↓ move through them, Enter opens the marked one (or, with none marked, the full results page), and / or Ctrl/⌘ + K jumps into the field from anywhere. A place opens its own page; See all under the places opens the Places page with your words in its search box.

The Menu — the last icon of the phone's bar; on a computer click your picture in the top bar and then your name — is your own corner of the app, laid out as a dashboard. On top your profile with Edit profile and your record in three figures — activities, hosted, and how often you showed up (a dash until a host has marked who came) — then your level, points and rank. Under it four figures you can tap: Sports (how many you joined, and which), Activities (how many upcoming ones you're in, and the next one), Play (games waiting for your move) and Challenges (how many you're in) — a dash means the number is still loading. Create is a set of round buttons — I'm going out, Plan an activity, Post to the feed and Ask a poll — all visible at once; on a wide browser window it is a column on the right that stays in view. Below that, one card per topic — every row has a coloured icon, a grey line saying what is behind it, and an arrow: Sports (Your sports, Group pages), Places (the Places page, and your Home place), Activities (your record with your badges, and Upcoming with the next five you're in), Play (Challenges, Play, Leaderboard), Community (Your project — if you run one —, Projects, Members, Notifications) and Account (how you signed in, your e-mail, Help & guide, Privacy, installing the app, Sign out, Leave this community and Delete my account).

On a phone five icons at the bottom: Home, Activities, Chats, Members and Menu; on top search, + (Create — I'm going out first) and the bell. On a computer the tabs are in the bar on top. See Getting around.

Three columns. Left: you (your picture and name open your page), Your sports (each opens its group page; See all unfolds the rest right there), Projects, Challenges with how many you're in, and See more, which unfolds the rest of the Menu's places in the same column — Show less folds it again. Middle: the box to post and the feed. Right: small cards — On now (what is running this minute, "I'm going out" posts included), Your next (the activities you host or answered, soonest first), Coming up (the next three other activities in your groups, with Join), Play (games waiting for your move), Projects, this week's leaderboard, the community goal and Near you (the places closest to your home place, with how far they are; See all opens the Places page). A card with nothing to show is simply not there.

Members, Places, Sports and Projects are built like the admins' area: a column on the left with the search and every way to narrow the list — each with how many it would show — and the list on the right. The option you picked is tinted; Clear filters over the list starts again. A long list inside the column (every sport) shows its first eight and See all unfolds the rest right there. On a phone or a tablet the same choices are round buttons over the list ("Everyone ▾", "Any sport ▾"): tap one for a sheet with every option and its count, and Clear next to the number of results starts again.

Right under the box to post: chips for what the bar at the bottom has no room for — Play and Places. They open the same pages as the tabs on a computer. Nothing in the app hides in a row you have to swipe sideways: chips and tiles wrap onto the next line, and a long list of sports shows its first few with a dashed +N more sports chip that opens the rest in place (Show fewer closes it; the sport you picked always stays visible).

Made for a phone: what you can do and what is new come first. 1. The box to post — "What's happening?" — with Activity (I'm going out: sport + place, live now), Photo and Poll. 2. Happening now — anything running this minute, tap to join. 3. Your next — the activities you host or joined, soonest first (nothing planned? the next outings in your groups, with Join). 4. Since you last looked — chips for what changed while you were away: new activities in your groups, unread messages, your move in a duel, a recap to write, a birthday, a challenge about to end; each opens the right place, and posts newer than your last visit carry a small New. 5. Small tiles, two to a row, for the slow-moving things — 🏆 your place this week, 🎯 the community goal (tap it for the full numbers, on the leaderboard page), 🏁 challenges, 🎮 play, 📣 projects — tap one for the full page. 6. The feed. Sections you have nothing in simply don't appear. On a computer the tiles are replaced by the cards on the right — see Home on a computer.

Tap the box at the top of Home. Text, up to 4 photos, optionally a poll. Post to one group or to everyone.

Under the box: Activity posts "I'm going out" in two taps (its Detailed tab plans one for later) · Photo opens your library straight away · Poll starts a poll (2–12 options, one or several answers, optionally Voting ends… at a date and time you pick — after that nobody can vote and the poll shows "closed"; you can edit it later from ···). A fully planned activity also starts from + on a phone — Plan an activity — and from Menu → Create or the two buttons on top of the Activities tab on a computer.

A poll with Make it a quiz: mark the right answer — or several. With several, people pick all that apply and submit once; only the exact set counts. Answers stay hidden until the quiz closes; right ones earn 5 points.

··· → Edit post changes the text and photos of your own post; it then shows "edited". Polls are fixed with Edit poll.

Tap a photo to open it full screen: pinch or double-tap to zoom, swipe sideways for the next one, pull down or ✕ to close.

Web addresses and e-mails in posts, comments, chats and profiles are tappable — a booking page, an Instagram profile, a results table.

👍 ❤️ 🔥 on any post (more via ···), and comments underneath. The names under the buttons ("Anna, Ben and 3 others") open the list of who reacted with what. ✕ next to your own comment deletes it (after a confirmation). 📷 next to the comment box adds photos (up to four, with or without words); tap a photo to see it full screen.

After an activity you took part in, the feed asks "How was it?" — post a photo and a line; it links back to the activity.

Every new activity also appears in the feed as a card — tap I'm in right there, or open it for details.

Every group has its own feed too: open the group → Feed.

When someone in your groups has a birthday (they've entered a birth date), the feed tells you — tap to wish them well.

The + at the top right of any tab opens Post an activity on the Quick tab: sport, place, a start time (it is now unless you change it) and, if you like, an end time — or leave the end open (a couple of hours or all day). That's it: followers of the sport get "Sorin is out for wakeboarding at Zürichsee right now — join?" and the activity shows under Happening now. Same-day plans and "I'm already in the ski resort, who's around?" both work this way.

Anything running at this moment sits on top of the Activities tab and of Home with a green dot and "started 40 min ago". Tap it and I'm in to come along — the activity chat is there to agree on a meeting point.

One search box: type the place, the street, a station or the town. Places the community already uses come first, then real addresses from the map. Pick one and it is saved with its position, so everyone gets Directions, the activity shows on that place's page under Activities here, and the next host finds it under known places. You can still just write words ("the fountain in the park") — then there are no directions.

Two tabs at the top of Post an activity. Quick is sport + place, live the moment you post. Detailed is the full form: a title, spots, level, friendly or competitive, the sport's options (for hikes and rides: difficulty, elevation gain, distance), an exact start and end time, a description, repeats. Switch tabs any time — what you typed comes along. Sport pages also have Plan an activity for the full form straight away.

Share an activity into WhatsApp and anyone with the link can open it — what, when, where, who hosts, how many are going — without an account. Only Join asks them to sign in (Apple, Google or an e-mail code, half a minute) and brings them straight back to the activity. Names of who joined, the chat, the feed and profiles stay members-only. Don't want that for one activity? In the Detailed form switch off Visible without an account — then the link shows a sign-in prompt instead. sportspeople.app/explore lists what's on for anyone, sportspeople.app/sports all our groups, /places where we play (with directions, and a page for each place) and /projects the clubs, schools and events — each group's page shows its upcoming activities, places and guides — all without an account.

Up to 4 000 characters (the counter under the box keeps track), and it grows as you write. Select words and use the toolbar for bold, italic, bullet or numbered lists and links — Preview shows how it will look. The full text appears on the activity page; cards and notifications show the first lines in plain words.

In the full form, Repeat: every week, every two weeks or every month, and how many times (the next dates are previewed). Each date has its own list and chat; "Cancel all future dates" is on any of them.

I'm in takes a spot · Maybe shows interest · Leave frees it. Full? Join waitlist — the first in line gets the next free spot automatically and a notification. Every choice is confirmed with a short message at the bottom of the screen.

Shortly before start you're asked to confirm you're coming. Afterwards the host marks who showed up — it's your "showed up" score on your profile.

On top of the Activities tab a strip shows this week with a dot per activity; arrows move week by week. Tap a day to see just that day, tap a later day to see the whole span, or use the chips: Today, This week, Weekend, Next 7 days, This month. Tap the selected chip (×) to see everything again.

Four buttons: Chat (the activity's own chat, for people on the list) · Share (a card with a link you can send anywhere) · Invite (pick members — they get a notification) · Calendar (opens your phone's calendar with the activity filled in — just save it).

Edit, confirm (Planned → Confirmed), cancel, mark attendance. Tap a participant → Make co-host to share the controls. Each activity has a chat for participants.

Menu → Your sports (also the ✎ Edit chip under your sports on your profile): tap a sport to join or leave its group, straight away. Any sport name in the app also opens its page with Join group. Its activities show in your feed and its chat appears in Chats. Your groups are listed first with a Member ✓ tag; "2 upcoming" under a sport counts its planned activities.

Some groups have a short notice in a card at the very top of their page — a safety or legal note the admins want everyone to read first. It is information from the community, not legal advice. Then the segments: Activities (with channel chips) · Feed · Guides (how to start, technique, gear, rules) · Places (where the group goes, with directions and booking) · Members (People on a narrow phone) — who is in the group, with the details they chose to share (see Your details in a group).

Sets your notifications for that group — everything / new activities only / nothing — or lets you leave.

Tap a channel chip to see its activities and card: members, place, Join channel, its chat. Joined channels appear as tabs inside the group chat. Posting "Saturday in Davos" lands in the Davos channel automatically.

Menu → Your sports → Suggest a sport (on a computer also in the left column of the Sports page, which narrows the groups to Your groups, Something coming up or one category). The community team is notified and adds it.

The group's Places segment lists where it goes. The community's full list, the map and every place's own page are on the Places page — see Places & the map.

On a computer Places is a tab in the top bar (or in the Menu when the bar is full); on a phone it is the Places shortcut on Home or Menu → Places. Every place, A to Z — or, once you have a home place, the nearest first. The list is filed by category — the kind of sport played there: Ball & Racket, Water, Outdoor & Mountain… — so the lakes are together and the courts are together; a place used for sports of two kinds stands under both, and one without a sport yet under Other. Search by name, address or sport. Narrow it to one category, one sport (each with how many places it would show) and, where the community lists areas, to Places or Areas. On a computer these choices are the column on the left; on a phone they are the buttons over the list, and Clear next to "3 of 12 places" starts again.

Each row shows the place's name, the sports played there, how many follow it, how many activities are coming up and how far it is from your home place ("7 km"). 🏠 marks your home place, 🗺️ an area. The Follow button on the right follows it straight away. Under it: Directions (opens your maps app) and Book where the place takes bookings. Tap anywhere else on the row to open the place's page.

View switches between List and Map. In a browser the map shows a pin for every place in the list — areas are bigger, lighter pins. Click a pin for its name, sports and distance, and Open › for its page. Zoom with the + and − buttons, two fingers on a phone, or Ctrl/⌘ + the scroll wheel on a computer. Places without a pin yet are counted under the map. In the iPhone and Android apps the map view lists the places with Open in Maps, which opens your phone's maps app.

From top to bottom: its name and address, the area it lies in (tap to open the area), the sports played there (tap one for its group page), how far it is from your home place, Follow, Directions (opens your maps app) and Book where the place takes bookings, then how many follow it and what is coming up. About this place is written by the members who look after it — how to get there, parking, where to start, rules and hazards. Then the places inside an area, Activities here (Post here starts one with the place already filled in) and the chats of channels linked to this place.

Follow on a row or on the page; Following ✓ unfollows. It marks the place as yours and adds you to its count ("12 followers"), which tells everyone roughly how many people go there. Nobody sees who follows a place. Following a place does not send you notifications yet — to hear about new activities, join the group (Groups & channels).

The place you usually go to — Menu → Home place, Make this my home place on a place's page, or the banner on the Places page. Once it is set the Places page lists the nearest places first, rows and pages say how far they are, and Near you appears on Home on a computer. Distances are straight lines in whole kilometres. Only you can see your home place — not other members, not the admins — and the app never uses your phone's location. Change it or Remove my home place in the same place.

Some places are areas — a lake, a stretch of river, a large park — with other places inside. An area's page lists them under Places in this area, and each of those links back to it.

A pin shows roughly where a place is. What a page says about local rules is shared by members to help each other: it is not legal advice and may be out of date — the official rules come first. Spotted a mistake? Tell an admin or the group's Community Manager.

Where the community is open to visitors, a place's page also works for people without an account — a place on the public list opens it, and you can send its address to anyone: what it is, the sports there, Directions, its page text and how many follow it and how many activities are coming up — with Join to follow as the way in.

Some groups (and some channels inside them) ask their members a few questions: a line of text, a choice from a list, a number, yes or no, a date or a link. What is asked differs from group to group and is set up by the people who look after it. A group that asks nothing simply has no details.

Right after you tap Join group, a group that asks for details opens Tell others about you once. Skip for now is fine — nothing is required to be in the group. You can fill them in any time later.

Open the group → Members → Your details in <group> (it shows how many you answered, or "Not filled in"). For a channel: its card on the group's Activities segment → Your details. Change what you like and Save. Leave out whatever you prefer not to share; a field marked with a star only has to be filled in when you save.

Everyone in that group (or channel), its managers and the community's admins — nobody outside it, never visitors without an account, never other communities. Groups are open, so whoever joins the group can see them. The details show under your name on the group's Members list (the ones the managers chose) and in full when someone taps your name there.

When a group's details can be filtered, a Filters button sits above its Members list: "everyone who rides a Ducati", "everyone with a 5 m wing". The number of matches shows next to it, Clear starts again. Tap a name to see all their details, then View profile or message them as usual.

Your details → Remove my details removes every answer at once (or tap your own name on the Members list → Clear details). Leaving the group or channel takes your answers with it. A group's managers and the admins can also clear an answer that should not be there — you can fill it in again.

Details go through the same word filter as posts: a word the community does not allow is refused with a short explanation, and you can change it. While your posting is paused you cannot change your details.

Next to every message: ↩ replies with a quote (tap the quote later to jump to the original) and ☺ opens the reactions (👍 ❤️ 🔥 😂 🙌 👀) plus Reply and Report; next to your own messages it is ··· with Edit and Delete. Long-press does the same. The person you reply to gets a notification.

The red number on Chats — the icon in the phone's bar, the round Chats button on a computer, and the Chats row of your Menu (always there, even where a community's bar has no room for the Chats tab) — counts only chats you are in: your groups, channels and projects, direct messages and activity chats. Groups you don't follow, muted and hidden chats never light it up.

On your own messages: ✓ sent · ✓✓ delivered (someone in the chat has been in the app since) · ✓✓ seen by everyone who has opened this chat. Long-press a message of yours for "Seen by 4 of 12".

··· next to your own message (or long-press it) → Edit message; it shows "edited" afterwards. If the message had been reported, the community's admins keep a copy of what it said before your edit. Your own polls: Edit poll — rename or add options (up to 12); votes on options you keep are preserved.

Type @ to mention someone — they get a notification even if they muted the group.

Every new activity is announced in its channel chat (or the group chat) as a card: "Sorin planned this — are you in?" with I'm in / Maybe right there, plus links to the details and the activity's own chat.

📷 in the chat composer sends up to four photos in one message (a screenshot of a bug, the court you found). Tap a photo to see it full screen.

The 📊 button posts a poll right in the chat ("Which evening?") — set Voting ends… when you need answers by a certain time; 😊 adds emoji.

Pills at the top of the list: All · Unread · Favourites · Groups. Long-press a chat to pin it under Favourites, mute its notifications (🔕) or hide it (find hidden ones at the bottom).

The round Chats button in the top bar opens your latest chats in a panel: a search field, All · Unread · Groups · Direct (plus Favourites once you have one), and a dot on what is unread. Click a chat to open it; the arrows icon or See all chats opens the full page — chat list on the left, conversation on the right, with the filters, favourites and hidden chats described here.

Open a member's profile → Message. Private between the two of you.

··· next to your own message (or long-press it) → Delete. It is removed for everyone: the text and photos are gone and a small "Message deleted" note stays in its place. Its words also disappear from the notifications it caused — a reply, a mention or a new-message notification now shows no text. (A push that already popped up on someone's phone cannot be taken back.) It cannot be brought back. The community's admins keep a copy only when the message had been reported, or when a moderator deleted it — never when you delete an ordinary message of your own.

Chat list on the left, conversation on the right. Enter sends, Shift+Enter makes a new line.

The Members tab (two people) — in the bar at the bottom of a phone; on a computer a tab in the top bar, or in the Menu when the bar is full, where a community has more tabs than fit: everyone, with a search (name, bio, where they are based) and three choices that combine. Show: Everyone, Online now, Active today, New this week, Same sports as me (people who follow the sports you follow, the most in common first — the little emojis under a name are what you share) or Admins. Sport: everyone who does one sport — your sports first, then the rest by how many do them. Sort by (the ⇅ button on a phone): Recently active (grouped into today, this week and everyone else), Name A–Z (a heading per letter) or Newest members. Every option shows how many people it would give. A long group shows its first 24 people and See all opens the rest in place. On a computer the choices are the column on the left, together with Play, Challenges, I'm going out and Projects; on a phone they are the buttons over the list, and those four are tiles when nothing is filtered. Each group's People segment shows that group's members. A green dot means the person is in the app right now.

Photo and cover (tap either to see it full size), where you are based (Edit profile → Based in: your town or neighbourhood — it also matches in the Members search), age, bio, groups, activities hosted, "showed up" score and roles. From there: Message, or ··· for Report / Block.

Follow on a profile: you're notified whenever that person hosts an activity, in any group. Profiles show how many follow them.

When someone leaves the community, what they wrote — messages, posts, comments, activities — stays and still shows their name. Where an account no longer exists at all, you see Former member instead of a name.

Earned automatically: 🏠 Host (3 hosted) · 📣 Organiser (10) · ⚡ Active (10 activities) · 🔁 Regular (30) · ✅ Reliable (90 % showed up over 5+ rated).

On a computer Market is a tab in the top bar (or in the Menu when the bar is full), and the right-hand column of Home shows New on the market, Your saved searches and what went lately (Recently sold, in your board's word). On a phone: Menu → Market (with Your listings under it), or + → Post a listing. The Menu's dashboard counts your listings that are up now. Search finds listings by their title and description too — and, on boards that use a catalogue, by the make, model, size or article number of the item. The market is for members; only a board the admins opened to visitors can be seen without an account (see Boards visitors can see).

The market is split into boards the admins set up — Housing, Jobs, Buy & sell, Pets, Services, Snowboard gear, Motorcycles… Each board has its own words ("For rent" / "Looking for", "Rent /month"), its own questions (rooms, size, condition, mileage…) and its own filters. All listings shows every board together.

On a computer the column on the left: search (your words in any order — "burton 158" finds the same as "158 burton"), the boards with how many listings each has, and once you pick a board its filters — offers or requests, a price range, the board's own questions (a type, a size range, "pets allowed") — and the order: newest, lowest or highest price first, or nearest pick-up first where sellers name a hand-over place and you have a home place. Where a board records what went, Available now / Recently sold (the board's word) switches between what is up and what went in the last 90 days — those show no price. On a board with a catalogue you also filter by its tags (a use, a style — only the ones the board's kinds of item have; a board for helmets and gloves offers no motorcycle styles) and by the item itself (see the catalogue). Where a board asks its own question with the same name as the catalogue's tags, the filter shows once, as the tags. On a phone: the search, a Board ▾ button and a Filters button that opens the same choices in a sheet (its label says how many are on). Clear filters shows once a filter or words narrow the list, and clears them (the board you picked stays). Show more listings at the bottom loads the next page.

A card shows the first photo, the title, the item from the catalogue with up to three of its main specs and what the number in its name means ("170 = Area 170 in²"), the price with the board's word and unit, a few answers as small pills, where, and how long ago it was posted (the full page adds "edited" and the date once the author changed what it says — reserving it, renewing it or marking it as sold is no edit); Reserved when the author is holding it for someone, Sold (or the board's own word) once it went — without a price or a date. Tap it for the full page: photos (tap to see them full screen), the board and whether it is an offer or a request, the price, the item with the specs of that exact size, every answer in the board's order, the description and where. Message under the author's name starts a direct message — that is how you get in touch; nothing is paid or booked in the app. Under the name you may also see how long they have been a member, how many of their listings found a taker ("3 listings done"), and — where your community keeps collections and theirs is visible — since when they have had one of these ("Has one since 2023").

Post a listing (on the market, in Menu → Create or with +): pick the board, then offer or request if the board has both. Where your community keeps collections, From your collection lists what you own and can sell: tap one and it fills in the item and the title (Not from there undoes it) — or start from the item itself with Sell it on the market. On a board with a catalogue the next question is the item itself ("Which …?", see the catalogue). Then a title (3–120 characters), a description (up to 4 000), the price and the place if the board asks for them (a star means required), the country, a pick-up place where the board has them, photos, and the board's own questions. Post the listing (or Post on top) puts it up at once. If something is missing or wrong, the form says so in a sentence under the field.

Most boards use the community's currency. Some let you pick from a short list (for example francs or euros) — the choice sits next to the price. The form also has a Country row: your community's country unless you tap it and type another two-letter code (CH, DE…). The recent sales compare prices within one country.

On boards that allow it you can name one of the community's places as the pick-up point — your home place is offered first. The listing then says "Pick-up: …", and buyers can sort by what is nearest to their home place. Nobody sees your home place; only the place you chose for this listing shows.

As many as the board allows (the form shows "2 of 5"). The first one is the cover on the card — Move first changes it, ✕ removes one. They upload when you post or save. Photos are for this listing only; don't put personal documents in them.

Where the board keeps drafts, Save as draft keeps a listing you are not ready to show — even without its required answers. Only you see a draft (the moderators too, if something needs checking). Open it and Publish checks everything and puts it up (Save draft keeps it a draft); its time on the market starts then. Back to draft on a live listing takes it off the market again until you publish it. You can keep up to 20 drafts at once. While your posting is paused you cannot publish.

On your own listing: Edit (the text, price, photos and answers), Reserve (it stays up, marked Reserved — Not reserved undoes it), Close when it is done (it leaves the market; Reopen brings it back), Renew, Back to draft (where the board keeps drafts) and Delete (gone for good, with its photos — closing keeps it). You also see how many members viewed it. On boards that record sales, use Mark as sold instead of Close when it went.

On boards that record the outcome, your listing has Mark as sold (or the board's word: Rented, Given away…). It asks Where did it go? — Here, to a member (you can Choose who — the list shows only the people you can name here, never someone who blocked you or whom you blocked; where there are many people, type a name to find the one you mean; they are asked to confirm) or Somewhere else — and, on boards that record prices, What it went for and in which currency. Only you, the buyer you named and the admins ever see that price (under Your listings the sold listing shows it: "Went for …"); for everyone else the listing shows "Sold" for 90 days, with no price and no date. Until the buyer has answered, Correct the sale changes the price or the buyer.

When a seller names you as the buyer, you get one notification. On the listing: Yes, I got it — with The price was different if it was (a price far from what the seller said is refused: tell them, and they correct it) — or No. Only the two of you and the admins see this. Where your community keeps collections, a yes also adds the item to your collection — private at first, so nobody learns who bought it until you choose to show it there. Once you confirmed, the sale stays: neither of you can delete the listing any more. If you say no, the sale is left out of the recent sales.

On boards that record prices, a listing (under What it went for here) and a product page show what the same model really went for here: a monthly summary per currency — how many sales, the middle price and, from five sales, the range from the lowest to the highest. Prices paid, not asked, in your country, from the last 12 monthly summaries — a sale can wait some months for others before it joins, so the oldest can be nearly two years old. Only sales the buyer confirmed count. The summary is made on the 1st of each month, and sales join it only three or more at a time, by at least three different sellers — so it does not change during the month, whatever happens to a listing, and a new sale never shows up on its own. Your own sales, as seller or buyer, are never in the summary you see — nor is a batch in which, without yours, fewer than three sales by three other sellers remain — so what you see can differ from what another member sees. No single sale, no dates, no condition, no names. It is a summary, not a secret: if you saw a listing's asking price, you may guess roughly what it went for. Members only: visitors never see prices.

On boards that allow it, choose what you are looking for — a board, words, the board's filters, a type, makes and specs, a price range — then Save this search (in the column on a computer) or 🔔 Save search (under the search bar on a phone), and give it a name if you like. When a new listing matches, you get a notification (once per listing, never twice for the same one). Find and delete them under Your listings → Saved searches (on a computer also on Home); up to 20. Only you see your saved searches — not the sellers, not the admins. A listing that matches one of yours says "🔔 Matches one of your saved searches".

On some boards a new listing also appears as a card in the community's feed, posted under the seller's name. The post goes away when the listing is closed, put back to draft, held for review or expired; when it sells, the card stays for 90 days and says "Sold" (no price).

On boards that record sales, the app asks you once, three days before your listing expires: Still available? — renew it or mark it as sold. And once after it expired: Was it sold? with the listing's title (in the board's word: "Was it rented?", "Was it given away?") — mark it and, where the board records prices, what it went for. The notification opens your listing with Mark as sold ready. Answering helps everyone know what things are worth. You can ignore both.

On your own listing, while it is up (not closed, expired or waiting for review): Share — under the listing, or in the ··· menu. On a phone it opens your phone's share sheet; in a browser you get Share… (where the browser has one), Send on WhatsApp and Copy link. What goes out is the title, the price, the board and where, with a link. On a members-only board, whoever opens the link must be a member to see the listing — someone without an account is asked to join first. Only the author can share a listing.

Every board has its own time — 60 days unless the admins chose otherwise; your listing says "Up until …". After that it expires: it leaves the market but is not deleted. Renew puts it back up for the same time again, from its page or from Your listings.

Menu → Market → Your listings (or the link in the market's column on a computer): everything you posted, grouped as Drafts, Live, Reserved, Waiting for review, Expired (with Renew right there), Sold (the board's word), a board the admins hid, and Closed (the first few, See all unfolds the rest), and your Saved searches.

Like messages and posts, listings pass the community's spam filter. When something in it looks like spam, or an admin took it off the market for a moment, it shows ⏳ Waiting for review: only you (and the admins) see it until an admin has looked. They either show it again or remove it. You can still edit it meanwhile.

A scam, something that doesn't belong here? On the listing: Report this listing (at the bottom, or in the ··· menu on top). Pick a reason, add a note if you like. The admins look into it; nobody is told who reported.

Admins can hide, close or delete a listing, but they never change your words — if something needs fixing they'll message you. A listing an admin closed can only be reopened by an admin. While your posting is paused you can still close or delete your listings, not edit, publish, reopen or renew them. If you leave the community, your listings close and your drafts are deleted.

A catalogue goes from who makes it to which model to which size, year or version. In the listing form, Choose under the catalogue question opens the list: pick the type on top (a board, bindings, a scooter… or All), then type a few words — the brand, the model, a number — in any order. A bare number looks for sizes only ("158"). Before you type, the list shows the models themselves; a maker with nothing of that type in the list yet ("Only the brand") shows once you search for it. Filter by specs narrows the list by the type's figures. The form says how far down you need to go ("Choose down to a size", or a model at least). The words follow what the question takes and the type you pick — on a riding-gear board it asks for riding gear and a size, not a motorcycle and a year, and on a board that takes both the button says "Choose an item" until you pick a type. Change and Clear undo a choice.

Not in the list under the search lets you add it: the brand or make (a close spelling is matched to the one that exists — "Burten" finds Burton), the model and, if the board asks, the size or year, then Add and use it. It starts from what you searched, taking only what your words make clear: a brand it knows goes into the brand, a bare number into the size and the rest into the model ("PNG 1010 axis" → Axis, PNG, 1010); when it knows no brand in your words it fills in nothing and just shows what you searched — check each part before adding. It is usable at once in your community, marked as not checked yet, and the catalogue's editors check it afterwards — they may correct the spelling or join it with an entry that already exists, and your listing follows. Where the board allows it, In my own words lets you just write the item out. A few limits keep this tidy: a set number of new entries an hour per person (20 unless the catalogue says otherwise), and nothing the community's word filter would hold.

A catalogue knows the facts that matter for each type — a board's length and waist width, a motorcycle's engine size, power and weight. A listing shows those of the exact size; its card shows up to three main ones and what the number in the name means. A figure no editor has checked yet is marked unverified; on the product page a checked one links to its source. Sizes show in your community's units — Show in imperial units (or metric) on a product page switches them for you alone.

On a board with a catalogue the filters take the item: a type, one or several makes (type a name and tap it), and once a type is chosen its specs — a length from–to, a licence class, a profile, yes or no. The catalogue's tags (a use, a style) are a filter of their own, with only the tags the board's kinds of item carry. To see one model on every board, open its product page and tap its listings: the market says "Only …", with ✕ to go back. Saved searches keep these filters too.

Tap the item's name on a listing — or find the model with the search on top. The page shows the maker, the model and its year, the type and tags, every size (or year), the model that replaced it and the maker's website; then the market: how many listings of it are up now (tap to see them) and, where there are enough, its recent sales — the monthly summary; how many members have one, with I have one to put it in your collection; and the specs table — opened from a listing or from your collection, it starts on that item's own size (the other sizes are one tap away). Product pages are for members; a community can choose to show them to visitors too (they are then also listed for search engines) — a visitor sees the model, its sizes and specs and how many listings of open boards are up, never a price and never who owns or sells one.

Where your community allows it, the specs table on the product page has Add where a figure is missing and Correct beside one: give the value, where it comes from (the maker's page, a shop…), a link to it and a short note, then Send. It shows as proposed to you until an editor confirms or turns it down; it never replaces a figure by itself.

A catalogue can be shared by several communities, so a model added in one becomes available to the others once an editor has checked it. What you added stays visible only in your own community until then. The editors are people chosen for their knowledge of the gear — not necessarily your community's admins.

The board's live listings: title, price, photos, the answers, the item and its specs, the place or town you typed, a pick-up place you chose, and how long ago it was posted. Never the seller — not the name, not the picture. Join to message the seller is the only way to reach you. A visitor's search that finds nothing says so ("Nothing matches") with a way to clear it. A link to such a listing, shared by a member, opens for visitors too (a link to a listing of a board that is not open says it is for members; where the community has no board open to visitors at all, the link opens the community's front page instead). Where the community shows product pages to visitors, those only count the live listings of open boards — visitors never see what anything sold for.

Drafts, sold and closed listings, anything waiting for review, and every board the admins did not open. So is everything about you: your profile, your other listings, your saved searches, your collection.

Write the town or district, not your street, and leave personal details out of the text and the photos. The board's description tells you when it is open to visitors.

Menu → Your collection (by its community's name), or Create → Add to your collection; your dashboard counts what is in use. Add asks which one — Choose picks it from the catalogue (the same list as the market, with Not in the list and In my own words), or you write it out where there is no catalogue — then Since when you have it and how you got it (New, Second-hand, A gift). What it cost, notes and photos (up to 6) are optional; Save on top.

What you paid, your notes, the exact day and the earlier owners are yours alone — not other members, not the admins. Others (when your collection is visible) see the item's name, its type, the year you got it, its photos and the sets it is in — on your profile, under your collection's name.

Each community decides whether collections are visible to members or hidden by default. Who sees your collection on its page lets you choose for yourself: Members of the community or Only you. Keep it private on a single item keeps it out of sight whatever you chose. People you blocked never see it, and it is never shown to visitors or other communities.

Where the community uses them, New setup (or kit) groups items: a name, the group it is for, Main one, since when and notes; save it, then tap what is in it (some ask "As which?" — the part it plays). An item's page shows the sets it is in. One item can be in several sets; one set per group can be your main one.

Lend it out while someone else has it (It's back when it returns), or Retire it when it broke or you gave it away — it moves under Retired and passed on and stays in your history (Bring it back undoes it). Delete is there only for an item with no history that is not on a listing; one bought from or sold to a member — including what you confirmed buying on the market — is retired, never deleted: its page offers Retire it and says why there is no Delete.

Sell it on the market on an item opens the listing form already filled in — the item, its type, a title. The item then says it is on the market. When you mark the listing as sold it shows with the board's word ("Sold", "Given away") in your collection. When the buyer is a member and confirms, the item moves into their collection with the date and the price, and its earlier owners — private until they choose to show it; your photos stay with you. If the sale is undone before the buyer confirms, the item is yours again.

On a listing, a line under the seller can say since when they have had one of these, and a product page can say how many members have one (your community may word both its own way). Only whole-community counts, and only from collections their owners let members see.

Home → the 🏁 tile (also Menu → Play → Challenges, and Challenges in the left column of Home on a computer) → New challenge: a title, what counts (sessions, kilometres or minutes), the target, the sport (or any sport) and the period (up to 120 days). Followers of the sport get a note; you are in automatically. Up to three running challenges per member.

Open a challenge → Join. Activities of that sport where the host marked you as attended count by themselves (one session, or the activity's minutes). Everything else — a run on your own, a court booked elsewhere — you log with Log a session: amount, date, an optional note and a photo — the new trick, the watch after the run. Kilometres are always logged by hand.

Your bar and everyone's standing on the challenge page, the community total, and a feed of the latest sessions where you can give 👏 kudos. Reaching the goal earns 20 points and a cheer; when the period ends everyone gets their result.

Only participants can log, only inside the period and never in the future; five manual entries a day, sensible maximums per entry. Your own entries can be removed; the creator (or an admin) can edit or remove the challenge.

Members → Projects (also under Menu → Community, on Home, and on each group page). Follow a project to hear about its courses and updates; its chat is open to everyone. A ✓ next to the name means an admin knows the organiser. Narrow the list to the ones you follow or to one kind (club, school, event, initiative) — on a computer in the column on the left, which also lists your own project and Create a project.

A course is an ordinary activity posted by the project: it appears in Activities with the project's name, you join it like anything else, and it can show a price and a Book button. Payment happens on the organiser's own page or in person — never in the app.

Projects → Create: name, kind (club, school, event, initiative), the sports it is about, a few lines, town, website and contact. An admin approves it once — you get a notification; until then only you see it. One project per member for now; ask an admin if you run more.

On your project's page: Post a course (with price and booking link), Write an update, Edit for logo, cover and texts. Under People, add managers who can do all of that too, or hand the project over. Insights — followers, visits, joins — are only shown to you. Pause it between seasons or close it under Edit.

On a computer Play is a tab in the top bar, or in the Menu when the bar is full (a red number means a game waits for your move). On a phone: the Play shortcut on Home, Members tab → Play, or Menu → Play. You see who is online right now and who was active recently; tap someone and pick a game. They get a notification and have 24 hours — they do not need to be online.

Five questions about sports (the ones you both follow first), 15 seconds each. You both get the same questions; the most right answers wins and the faster clock breaks a tie. Winner +5 points, the other +1, a draw +3 each — within the 20 points a week that quizzes can give.

Five either/or questions about how you like to play ("Sunrise or sunset?", "Pizza or salad?"). Once you both answered you see the answers side by side and how many you have in common — then say hi with Message. The first icebreaker with someone gives you both 3 points.

Every time you start a game you choose: play as yourself, or play anonymously. Anonymous games show the other person "Anonymous player" instead of your name and picture, and have no Message button — just the game.

Edit profile → Games → switch off Accept game challenges and nobody can challenge you (you can still start games yourself). Decline a challenge and that person cannot challenge you again for a day.

Answers stay hidden until both of you played. You can decline a challenge or withdraw your own; a game nobody finishes within 24 hours simply expires. Rematch from the result page any time.

Showing up earns points — but only what the host marked as attended counts, nothing is self-reported: joined and showed up 10, hosted an activity with at least two others 25, confirmed more than a day ahead +3, a recap with a photo afterwards +5, bringing someone to their first activity +15, a no-show −10. Home shows your place this week in a tile (on a computer: the top five in a card on the right); the Menu shows your level (Newcomer → Regular → Veteran → Legend), your rank and your streak; the full Leaderboard has this week, this month, this year and all time, for the whole community or one group. Finishing a challenge adds 20. Weekly, monthly and yearly rankings reset, so anyone can win. Prefer to stay out? Edit profile → Hide me from leaderboards.

One attended activity per week keeps your streak alive; one quiet week per four is forgiven. Groups compete each month on attended activities per member (see the group page), and admins can set a community goal that everyone pushes together — its progress is a tile on Home and a card on the leaderboard page.

A quiz is a post with one right answer and a closing time. Answer once (no changes); the answers stay hidden until it closes, then the right one is revealed. A right answer earns 5 points, the three fastest +2 — capped at 20 quiz points a week, so showing up still matters more. At the end of some guides there is a short Know before you go quiz: all right and you earn the sport's basics badge (+10), which hosts can require for harder activities.

To keep scammers out, links can be shared once you have been here three days and joined an activity or a group — until then, describe things in words. A message that pairs a link with phrases typical of investment or gambling spam is held: only you see it until an admin approves. If two members report someone within a day, that person is muted in chats for a week and admins take a look.

Top right on every tab of a phone, a round button in the top bar of a computer. Your notifications in one list: All · Unread on top, New (unread, highlighted, with a dot) above Earlier. Each one carries the icon of what it is about — an activity, a chat, a game… Tap one to open it. The number on the bell clears once you've looked; Mark all read does it at once. On a computer the list opens as a panel and See all opens the full page.

Invitations to activities, replies to your messages, new activities in your groups and channels, someone joining yours, reminders before start, changes and cancellations, a freed waitlist spot, mentions, direct messages, comments on your posts, activity-chat messages. In the market: a new listing that matches one of your saved searches, a seller naming you as the buyer ("Did you get it?"), and on your own listings "Still available?" and "Was it sold?" (in the board's word).

You're notified for chats that concern you: direct messages, activities you're going to, channels you joined — and group chats only if you chose Everything for that group (Member ✓ button). Muted chats never notify.

Menu → Edit profile → Quiet hours: everything waits until the window ends.

Menu → Edit profile → Daily digest instead of instant: new activities, posts and chat messages are bundled into one notification in the morning and one in the evening. Reminders, mentions and direct messages still come immediately.

Every Sunday evening: what's planned in your groups for the coming week.

A message (long-press → Report), an activity or post (Report), a market listing (Report this listing), or a member (profile → ···). Pick a reason, add a note. The community team looks into it; nobody is told who reported.

Profile → ··· → Block: they can't message you and their messages disappear from your chats. From then on neither of you gets notifications about the other's new posts, activities or chat messages — it works both ways, whoever blocked whom. They're not told.
